Dato' Haji Yusoff bin Harun (DPMS, SMS, AMN) was appointed President of Kolej Poly-Tech MARA on 17 February 2010. Previously, he was the Director of the Technical and Vocational Division, Ministry of Education.
Born on 5 July 1952 in Langgar, Kedah, Dato' Yusoff began his career as a technical teacher in 1973 at Sekolah Menengah Teknik Ipoh before becoming Senior Assistant of the school.
After completing his studies in Civil Engineering at Brighton Polytechnic, England, he became a lecturer at Politeknik Ungku Omar Ipoh and Assistant to the Head of the Civil Engineering Department.
Subsequently, Dato' Yusoff held various positions in the Ministry of Education after completing a master's programme at US International University, San Diego, USA. Among the positions he held were Senior Assistant Director at the Development and Resources Unit and Civil Engineering Unit of the Technical and Vocational Department; and Deputy Director as well as Director of Education Technology Department.
He has also held positions as Principal of Politeknik Shah Alam and Director of the Technical and Vocational Division, Ministry of Education.
Dato' Yusoff has good management skills and is a good leader with vision. He constantly plans ahead for development in whatever he does.
