Curtin Sarawak hosting Postgraduate Information Cocktail Evening on 15 August Posted: 11 August 2014; Category: Editor

Miri – 8 August 2014 – A Postgraduate Information Cocktail Evening event for those interested to pursue postgraduate studies at Curtin University, Sarawak Malaysia (Curtin Sarawak) will be hosted by the university at Sky Garden, Meritz Hotel Miri on 15 August from 5.30 to 8.30 pm.

The event is being organised by Curtin Sarawak’s School of Business in collaboration with its Marketing Department and the Career and Alumni section of its University Life Department.

It will feature networking sessions with alumni and current postgraduate students of the university as well as consultation sessions on Curtin Sarawak’s postgraduate Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) and coursework offerings with academic staff.

Among the staff present will be Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Yudi Samyudia, Acting Dean of School of Business Associate Professor Pauline Ho, Associate Dean of Research Training Professor Marcus Lee, Programme Coordinator for Postgraduate Studies by Coursework Chan Kwok Mow and Associate Dean of Research and Development Dr. Anbalagan Krishnan.

Other academic staff include senior lecturer of management Dr Lew Tek Yew, senior lecturer of accounting Dr Dhanuskodi Rengasamy and lecturer of business capstone Azhar Yahya.

Curtin Sarawak’s School of Business offers Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master’s degree courses by coursework in Project Management and Policy Sciences.

It also offers Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees, both by research, in areas such as Accounting, Business Law and Taxation, Economics and Finance, Information Systems, Management, Marketing and Public Relations.

Meanwhile, its School of Engineering and Science offers a Master of Engineering Science (Electrical Engineering) by coursework, and MPhil and PhD degrees by research in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Geology.
