STUDYING @ AeU
Asia e University (AeU) brings together people, cultures and knowledge from around the world through the support and recognition of 31 member countries of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue. AeU’s establishment is an initiative of Malaysia, as the prime mover for e-education. With 22 programmes offered from PhD to Foundation levels and almost 2,000 stdents in 2009, AeU is set to build more international linkages to bring global education to its students.
AeU’s diverse portfolio of industry-relevant courses is delivered fully online or via blended learning (elearning and classroom sessions). The postgraduate and undergraduate courses are delivered in part-time mode to provide flexibility to our students.
Courses are accessible through the AeU Learning Management System. Students can download learning materials and discuss online with faculty members and peers. Lecture notes, handouts, slides, assignments, links to relevant videos and online references are all provided to allow a rich and independent learning experience. Face to face tutorials are optional but recommended, and are conducted twice a semester.
AeU Library
The AeU Library offers an excellent combination of conventional and electronic information resources in a well designed conducive “living library” ambience with the interface for the digital library in a virtual environment.
Online resources include eBooks (Ebrary, Oxford References, CRC Press, etc), eJournals (Springer Journals, Emerald Database, etc), eTheses and other databases.
The SGS Careline; the latest service by our Postgraduate Student Services is very attractive for working professionals who need fast, reliable and personalised support services. Regular workshops, research clinics (personal coaching) and colloquiums (proposal presentations) led by renowned experts are held to assist and guide in research and data analysis.

AeU DBA
Demand for business education is rising rapidly. Enrolment in postgraduate programmes in business and general management, human resources, finance, accounting and others is increasing in tandem with the expanding economies of countries worldwide. The AeU DBA programme is not only designed to equip future managers and leaders with in-depth skill and knowledge but also to promote leadership skills in business administration and related areas.
AeU PhD (Business Administration)
The AeU PhD (BA) is ideal for executives, managers and academicians holding a relevant Masters Degree and interested in focusing on specific areas in Business and Management. As a doctoral programme, it emphasizes theory as it relates to research and practice, breadth as well as depth of study.

AeU ensures curriculum that is attuned to industry trends and needs, hence the focus on practical skills, techniques and knowledge in our Master in Information and Communication Technology programme. Students can opt to specialise in 3 key areas that are essential to any IT specialist – Project Management, Information Security and Business Continuity in Management.
Executive Education
SPEED offers a comprehensive range of executive programmes aimed in providing participants with unique blend of real world experience and academic knowledge. SPEED faculty is drawn from a mix of industry and academic background. New SPEED graduates will be readily able to apply these newly acquired skills and knowledge within their work environment.

International Collaborations
INDIA. In August 2009, AeU became the first foreign university approved by the Distance Education Council, India to operate in that country. Over 70 learning centres have been established so far in the Indian continent to spearhead recruitment. More than 400 students (undergraduates and postgraduates) have registered in various management and education studies.
AeU has formed partnerships with more than 16 countries - all in the pursuit of education excellence. Our partners in Sri Lanka, Oman, Iran, Pakistan, Bahrain, Cambodia, Saudi Arabia, Namibia, Nepal, China, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Kuwait and UAE bring international curriculum and quality faculty to our programmes; a key component demanded by today's working adults.

In December 2009, School of ICT spearheaded and AeU hosted the 11th International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services (iiWAS2009); jointly organised by @WAS, with its headquarters in Austria. The Conference attracted more than 200 participants from 46 countries; US, Canada, UK, Europe, Middle East, India, China, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and SE Asian countries. This meeting of minds provided a rich pool of information and knowledge in the web-based world especially for interested academia and postgraduate students in this field.
