MSU organised the 1st International Conference on Forensic Science, Forensic Medicine and Criminology

Shah Alam, 19 April: The Management & Science University (MSU) through the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences (FHLS) in collaboration with International Medical School (IMS) and School of Pharmacy (SPH) recently were organised the 1^st International Conference on Forensic Science, Forensic Medicine and Criminology (MSU Infomec 2016) in MSU main campus here.

The theme of the conference is Innovation in Forensics and it aims to gather of academia, scientists, forensic science students, practitioners and general public to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Forensic Science and to discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted. It is also aims to build a great platform for students, academia and practitioners with a unique networking.

Among the distinguished guest speakers involved in the conference were Geshina Ayu Mat Saad (a Psychologist and Criminologist), Dr. N Kala (Assistant Professor and Director of Centre for Cyber Forensics and Information Security, University of Madras) and Dr. Farzad Jahedi (a medical doctor and certified general practitioner).

The keynote lecture on “The Use of CBCT 3D in the Case of Forensic Odonto-Anthropology and Radioidentification in Indonesia” was presented by Dr Fahmi Oscandar, a Radiology Specialist Education at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Padjadjaran. 

A total of 120 participants from four countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and India were participated in presented fifty-six paperwork this conference.

The MSU Infomec 2016 was officiated by MSU President, Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid.
