The courses offered by public universities range from degree foundation courses to doctoral degree programmes. Public universities offer courses at Bachelor�s degree level for the holders of the following Malaysian post-secondary qualifications:
� STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia)
� STAM (Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia)
� Recognised Diplomas
� Ministry of Education (MOE)�s Matriculation Certificate

The Polytechnic And Community College Route To Certificate & Diploma Qualifications For SPM Qualification Holders

Polytechnics and community colleges are public-funded higher educational institutions that offer technical and vocational courses of study to upper-secondary school leavers, leading to the award of diploma and certificate qualifications. Since 1 January 2005, these two groups of institutions have been managed by the Department of Polytechnic and ommunity College Education, Ministry of Higher Education.
