Foreign university branch campuses are a popular option for students who want a tertiary qualification from a renowned university abroad but find that they may not be able to afford the fees and cost of living of being a student abroad, such as in the UK or Australia.

Malaysia currently has nine foreign university branch campuses that offer a substantial variety of courses. These branch campuses offer degrees identical to those at the main campus overseas; and the same qualification as the main campus is awarded to students who complete the course successfully.

However, even with substantial savings in tuition fees and cost of living, it is important for prospective students to find out if they can afford the courses offered by these universities which are often priced higher than those at home grown Malaysian universities.
