Overview
The School Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) is a five-year programme in partnership with Kolej Yayasan Saad (KYS) in Melaka, open for Malaysian secondary school students who are looking to gain the upper hand over their peers in terms of the development of their critical skills and command of leadership competencies.
The School Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) is the first track of leadership development track in Axiata Young Talent Programme (AYTP).
The programme which incorporates the AYTP curriculum – in the form of experiential workshops, community projects, online learning, personal reflection, coaching, and mentoring – is designed to complement academics.
About Kolej Yayasan Saad (KYS)
A private, fully residential school founded in 1995, Kolej Yayasan Saad (KYS) marked as a “Centre of Excellence”, prides itself for producing straight-A students for both Pentaksiran Tingkatan 3 (PT3) and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations year after year. KYS conducts a yearly selection process that consists of aptitude tests, interviews, and presentations to ensure an exclusive selection of only the best performing students in Malaysia.
Coverage
The School Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) scholarship (Full/Partial)* will cover five years of secondary school education, subject to Axiata Foundation’s terms and conditions. The coverage includes school fees, text books, school uniforms, and a laptop**. A non-curriculum fund will also be provided to encourage student participation in school based extra-curricular activities.
In addition to the school related fees, Axiata Foundation will also bear the full cost of SLDP initiatives.
*Full/Partial scholarship is subject to eligibility and household income.

Criteria / Who Can Apply
- *Not applicable to employees of Axiata Group of Companies
- **Minimum 4As 2Bs in Ujian Percubaan Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) trial examinations
** To apply, students must have at least 6As or 5As 1B or 4As 2Bs (Core Subjects: Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics and Science) in the recent 2018 Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) trial examinations. - Oustanding achievements in extra-curricular activities
