Teo Soo Pin Scholarship

The Teo Soo Pin Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship offered at KDU University College. It provides full tuition waiver and every year, only a few distinguished students are awarded this scholarship.

4. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview within one month after the application closing date. All shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of application. Only successful candidates will be notified of the outcome after the interview.
5. All fees paid are non-refundable , regardless of the outcome of the scholarship awarded.
6. Successful recipients are required to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.50 (or equivalent) throughout their duration of study in order to maintain their scholarship.
7. The scholarship is only valid for the programme in which the recipient has enrolled in and for the original duration of study in KDU College or KDU University College, Selangor only. In the event the recipient changes programme or transfers to another KDU campus in Malaysia, the scholarship will be terminated.

 

KDU High Achievers Scholarship

The KDU High Achievers Scholarship is awarded to high flying, well-rounded candidates with outstanding results in their SPM (or equivalent) examinations.

The KDU High Achievers Tertiary Scholarship is awarded to high flying, well-rounded candidates with outstanding results in their Pre-University Studies (or equivalent) examinations.

The Driving Dreams Scholarship is awarded to candidates who have outstanding sports achievement at the State and National levels or have demonstrated outstanding leadership ability through active participation in co-curricular activities, social services and volunteerism. The award seeks to help students of this calibre to drive their dreams in KDU.

Vice Chancellor Scholarship

The Vice Chancellor Scholarship is awarded to current KDU students who have consistently shown outstanding results in their degree programme and demonstrate ambitions to positively impact the community and society.

Current students who achieve CGPA score greater than or equivalent to 3.75 after one year of study in KDU. Demonstrate excellent leadership ability, entrepreneurial spirit and other essential attributes. Active participation in clubs / societies management, events and activities.	Up to 100% tuition fee waiver on subsequent semesters for the duration of the programme in KDU

Criteria
The Merit Award is awarded to existing KDU students who have accumulated a minimum CGPA of 3.75 in the latest semester Only applicable to students in their second year of studies and/or onwards Exhibit strong leadership quality, communication skills, professionalism, and enthusiasm – actively involved in clubs/societies management, events and activities.

Terms & Conditions Apply

1. All scholarships, bursaries and discounts offered by KDU to any student are at the absolute discretion of the KDU Scholarship Committee.
2. The KDU Scholarship Committee reserves the right to decide on the number of scholarships and the quantum to be awarded.
3. All scholarships / bursaries / discounts are awarded on a first come, first served basis (where applicable), and is subject to the availability of the quota set in that particular scholarship category.
4. Applicants are entitled to only ONE (1) scholarship / bursary / discount stated in this list at any one time, including scholarship from other institutions / bodies. The one with the highest quantum will automatically apply.
5. All academic results must be obtained within one sitting in order to be eligible for application for any scholarship / bursary / discount.
6. Recipients must repay the scholarship amount consumed up to date in the event of withdrawal from the programme.
7. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified via email or SMS for an interview (where applicable). Only successful candidates will be notified within one month after the interview. Candidates must confirm their acceptance of the scholarship within two weeks, failing which, it will be automatically withdrawn.
8. Applicants who did not receive any notification for interview or offer within 2 months after the due date of the application may consider their application as unsuccessful.
9. In the event of any dispute on the eligibility of scholarship / bursary / discount, the decision made by the KDU Scholarship Committee is final and no appeals will be entertained.
10. The scholarships, bursaries and discounts awarded exclude other fees and charges such as application, registration, resource, assessment and moderation fees to partner university (where applicable), all of which must be borne by the recipient.
11. The total fees for the first semester must be paid in full. The scholarships, bursaries and discounts (where applicable) award will be offset from the second semester onwards, on pro-rated basis.
12. The scholarships, bursaries and discounts awarded are not exchangeable for cash or any other alternatives.
13. All scholarships, bursaries and discounts are not applicable for English Language programmes, part-time programmes and short courses which are less than one year of duration.
14. Recipients are required to meet a minimum CGPA set by the KDU Scholarship Committee at the end of each academic year, in order to enjoy the scholarship in the subsequent years (where relevant). Failure to meet such academic requirement may result in the scholarship being terminated.
15. Where applicable, scholarship recipients will be required to sign an agreement accepting the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
16. All scholarship recipients are required to undergo a Scholars Development Programme of 48 hours per semester during the duration of their scholarship, which includes working with different departments within KDU for enhanced exposures, acting as an Ambassador of KDU at various events, attending leadership development programmes etc, in order to continue their scholarship in subsequent year(s).
17. All scholarships are only valid for students who are enrolled in KDU College or KDU University College, Selangor only. In the event the applicant transfers to another KDU campus in Malaysia, the scholarship may be terminated.
18. All scholarships, bursaries and discounts are applicable for Malaysian students bearing Malaysian identification number only, except when indicated specifically that it is for international students.
19. All scholarships and bursaries are applicable for duration of the programme offered at KDU University College and KDU College in Selangor, Malaysia only and are not applicable for the period of study at overseas partner universities.
20. Scholarship recipients who fail to comply with all the terms and conditions of the scholarship will be required to repay 100% of the total scholarship amount disbursed to him / her by KDU.
