UCSI have allocated RM30million in scholarships for prodigious students like you. Scholarships are awarded to deserving Malaysians irrespective of race, religion and creed to pursue their higher education at UCSI University. Scholarships are offered to students at Foundation, A-Levels, Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.

UCSI University Trust Principal's Award 2019 is a merit-based scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate excellent academic achievements, exemplary leadership, as well as notable accomplishments in sports and extracurricular activities. It is also purposed to be an avenue for schools to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of its students as they move on to tertiary education.

The scholarship offers full or partial tuition fee waivers to candidates who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements and participate actively in extracurricular activities throughout the student's undergraduate study period at UCSI University or UCSI College.

Criteria & Eligibility

You are eligible if you:

• Applicants must meet the following minimum academic requirements in the forecast examinations taken in the year 2018.

* Only A+ and A for relevant subjects will be considered.

• Candidates who are active in extracurricular activities and hold leadership positions - like President / Chairman; Vice President / Deputy-Chairman; Secretary; Treasurer; or Prefect - in school clubs, societies or uniform bodies.
• Candidates who have represented their schools at the district level in sports / other activities or have other equivalent achievements will also be considered.

Candidates are required to attend a scholarship selection interview.

Nomination

Candidates are to be nominated by the school and are required to submit a recommendation letter from the principal or headmaster of their respective school.

Terms and Conditions

1. The scholarship is applicable for any Cambridge GCE A-Levels (leading to a degree*) or any of the foundation programmes (leading to degree*) or degree* programmes at UCSI University for the January 2019 intake (*except for programmes offered by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Institute of Music).
2. Recipients of other Awards/Scholarships/Bursaries from other educational institutions or organisations are not eligible to apply.
3. All applicants must submit their application form before the application deadline. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
4. The scholarship is in the form of a tuition fee waiver and is neither transferable to another candidate nor exchangeable for cash.
5. All fees and costs that are not covered by the scholarship are to be borne by the applicants.
6. Successful applicants must meet minimum academic performance requirements in their actual results (SPM/ IGCSE O-Level/ STPM/ UEC) in order for their scholarship to be continued into the 2nd semester. Subsequently, they are required to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.50 (full scholarship) or 3.30 (partial scholarship) every semester, below which the scholarship will be revoked.
7. Successful applicants are to maintain exemplary discipline, attendance and behaviour throughout their studies at UCSI University/UCSI College.
8. Award recipients are to voluntarily contribute their efforts and time of not more than 4 hours a week or not less than 50 hours per normal semester or not less than 25 hours per short semester by participating in the Scholar Enrichment Programme and being part of various workplace and community projects organised by UCSI University/UCSI College and the UCSI University Trust.
9. UCSI University Trust reserves the right to decide on the quantum and number of scholarships to be awarded.
10. In the event of a dispute on the eligibility for a scholarship, the decision made by UCSI University Trust is final and no appeals will be entertained.

Shortlisted applicants will be notified through e-mail. An official letter from UCSI University Trust will be given together from the e-mail. Applicants are required to print out the letter for school principal / teacher's to acknowledge as supporting documents for interview.
