Course Overview

This Diploma in Hotel Management programme is specially designed to meet the growing needs of hotel industries by providing a solid foundation in hotel operation, planning and managing accommodation and food service establishment.

With a Diploma in Hotel Management, students will be equipped with a comprehensive knowledge required for employment in any hospitality industry. They will be exposed to both theories and hands-on learning opportunities. In addition, the industrial training will provide students with valuable experience, which will assist them in their career planning as well as in acquiring full-time job opportunities in hospitality industry.

Through its strong curriculum design that involves participation from the industry and various stakeholders, students will have an exciting career opportunity in management, supervisory and administrative positions in the hotel industry.

Entry Requirements

1 Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with a minimum of three (3) credits in any subjects; OR
2 A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject; OR
3 A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul in any subject; OR
4 A pass in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in related field subject to the approval of Senate/Academic Board.
Note: HEPs need to conduct specific screening and guidance related to the field of the program for the students; OR
5 A Certificate (Level 3 Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF) in a related field OR
6 Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia.
    Note: International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 4.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) /Malaysian University English Test (MUET) with Band 2 OR its equivalent.
