Course Description

The business of tourism is a multifaceted industry that spans the globe and affects every facet of our lives. As the industry continues to evolve and mature, the opportunities that await those pursuing a career in leisure and tourism are endless. Responding to this call, Quest International University (QIUP) has developed a programme to tailor to the demand of a trained and competent workforce. Diploma in Tourism Management at QIUP provides students with broad-based knowledge, technical skills and entrepreneurship skills to perform effectively and ethically and to be culturally sensitive that will influence students’ personal achievement and lifelong learning, as well as industrial development.

Our programme is designed to introduce students to core tourism concepts, plus foundation management skills required to successfully manage and develop a tourism business, or related leisure and recreation enterprises. Students will be exposed to related technical knowledge like Basic Airline Ticketing, Tour Guiding, Travel Agency Management, etc. Upon the completion of the programme, students will be able to understand the whole process of tourism industry and other related services. Students will also be able to demonstrate creativity and communicate effectively as well as solve operational problems in order to become a well-rounded employee.

Tourism programme at QIUP has strong support and commitment of the tourism key players. Courses have been developed with consultation and continue input from professionals working in the industry. Graduates would find employment in a variety of tourism destinations and organizations throughout the world.

Assessment
Students’ ability is gauged both through continuous assessments and a final exam. The continuous assessment component comprises tests/quizzes and projects/assignments.
