Course Overview

The Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology focuses on preparing students to perform maintenance and repair task on Aircraft and their components. The modules which the students learn in this programme will allow them to choose a career path in the highly demanding aircraft industry in the areas of mechanical, structural or avionics. The programme will also prepare students to sit for the DCAM & EASA part 66 License Examination.

Industrial Training

Students are required to complete 16 weeks of ‘hands on’ training in maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) at organizations such as Air Asia Sdn Bhd., MAS, Transmile Aircraft Engineering Sdn Bhd., Sabah Air, GE SDN BHD., D-NEST AND SEPANG AIRCRAFT ENGINEERING (SAE).

Entry Requirements

SPM/SPMV or equivalent with credits in Mathematics, Science and 1 other subjects and a pass in English.

Career Prospects

Upon Completion of this course student can be employed as Aircraft Maintenance/Technicians. This course also enables students to further their studies in order to obtain the basic license for Aircraft Maintenance. It also creates a pathway towards being a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME). Students will also have the option of doing a Degree in Aircraft Maintenance in a local or foreign University.
