Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary engineering branch incorporating Mechanical, Electronics, Control, Networking and Software systems. Entry Requirements

  • SPM - 3 Credits in the relevant subjects
  • O Level - 3 Grade C in the relevant subjects
  • UEC - 3 Grade B in the relevant subjects
  • Certificate - Relevant Certificate accreditated by MQA
  • OR Relevant Skilled/Technical/Vocational Certificate accreditated by MQA or recognised by the Malaysian Government

Compulsory subjects:

  1. SPM Credit/ O Level Grade C in Mathematics/ UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject
  2. SPM Credit/ O Level Grade C/ UEC Grade B in Physics/ Chemistry or one relevant technical/ vocational subject
  3. SPM Pass/ O Level Grade E/ UEC Grade C in English Language

Note:

  1. SPM holders must have at least a pass in Bahasa Melayu and SPM holders from Year 2013 onwards must have at least a pass in Sejarah.
  2. Students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A before the award of Diploma.
  3. Equivalent qualifications/qualifications from other Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  4. Subject to the Ministry of Education latest requirements.

Career Prospects

Diploma level graduates are eligible to contribute as assistant engineers or technicians in automation, robotics, instrumentation & control and systems engineering sectors and also in relevant sales or marketing sectors.
