Diploma in Agribusiness (Bintulu Campus)

Course Overview

The Diploma in Agribusiness is offered as an approach to produce a semi-professional workforce equipped to manage, handle, and utilize the nation‘s agricultural resources. Strong emphasis is given in producing graduates who are capable in managing an organization and overcoming business challenges in the field of agriculture, specifically ones related to the agro-food supply chain. The Diploma in Agribusiness focuses on agriculture management, marketing, finance and entrepreneurship. Apart from building a successful career in agri-entrepreneurship, every graduate has a bright career prospect in the public and private sectors. The Diploma in Agribusiness is a full-time programme, covering a 6-semester course with a total of 104 credit hours (including 2 credits for a co-curriculum activity).

Entry Requirements

Applicants who meet the UNIVERSITY GENERAL REQUIREMENT and the SPECIFIC NEEDS OF PROGRAMME REQUIREMENT are eligible for consideration.

Applicants must possess a minimum credit (Grade C or 6C) in Mathematics, Biology OR Science and a credit (Grade C or 6C) in any TWO (2) of the following subjects:

• Chemistry
• Physics
• Additional Mathematics
• Agriculture Science
• Commerce
• Principles of Accounting
• History
• Geography
• Science and Technical related subjects*

 (*Applied Science / Additional Science / Food Production / Machine Workshop Technology / Welding & Fitting / Food Preparation & Servicing / Crops Production / Animal Production / Horticultural Decoration & Landscape / Farming Machinery / Estate Management / Basis of Information Processing / Catering & Serving / Landscaping and Nursery) and at least a pass with Grade E for English Language.
