Course Description | Financial Technology is a rapidly growing field that uses technology and innovation to innovate and provide alternatives to traditional financial methods. As the Industrial Revolution 4.0 requires a more innovative and skill-driven workforce, it is more important than ever to equip finance graduates with the skills to solve problems, strategies businesses, assess risks, and forecast trends through utilising financial technology effectively. The Bachelor of Finance (Financial Technology) with Honours is a unique programme that combines traditional finance and financial technology. IT aims to transform classical financial theories by introducing technological advancements such as IoT, AI, blockchain and cloud computing, which will serve as the main drivers. Skilled finance and financial technology graduates should now be highly sought after in Malaysia's finance industry as employers expand their businesses and add more value for organisations and their clients. More finance specialists are needed for Malaysia to achieve a developed country vision and be known as a high-income nation. Finance specialists are critical in providing confidence and assurance to ensure a country's capital markets are robust and forward-looking. Investment banks, for example, are constantly on the lookout to hire competent finance graduates. Entry Requirements | STPM with 2 Grade C+ OR A-Level with 2 Grade D OR South Australian Matriculation (SAM) and an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 75 and Grade B in 2 subjects OR Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with a minimum of 80% aggregate in 6 subjects OR Foundation in Science and Foundation in Arts (Management and Accountancy Stream) with minimum CGPA 2.50, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman OR Foundation / Matriculation with minimum CGPA 2.50 from other Institutions of Higher Learning AND A credit in 1 SPM Mathematics subject / equivalent OR Diploma / Advanced Diploma in the relevant field with minimum CGPA 2.50 from other Institutions of Higher Learning OR Diploma in Finance, Banking, Insurance / in the relevant field with minimum CGPA 2.50 OR Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government with CGPA 2.50 AND A credit in SPM English Language / equivalent and Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 2/IELTS Band 4.0/TOEFL Score of 397/TOEFL iBT Score 30 (not applicable for qualifications conducted fully in English language and a credit in 1 SPM Mathematics subject / equivalent, OR Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with minimum Grade B5 in 5 subjects including 1 Mathematics subject and a Pass in English Language, a credit in SPM English Language / equivalent and Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 2/IELTS Band 4.0/TOEFL Score of 397/TOEFL iBT Score 30 |
