Principal of Claz’room College
Wong Jin Min is a visionary creative arts expert with over 16 years of experience in the multimedia arts industry. He is the Co-founder and Principal of Claz’room College, which he formed at the age of 26. Today, Claz’room College is a full-fledged college that offers multimedia arts courses to students.
Jin Min has spent the majority of his career in education and the CG industry, understanding the needs of talent in the multimedia industry and providing excellent leadership to his colleagues. He started his career as a lecturer at a local college before progressing to become a 2D Illustrator and Concept Artist at Ozura and GameBrains Malaysia. In 2009, he ventured into starting Claz’room Production and successfully developed courses and syllabus matching industry demands, while emphasizing the importance of soft skill classes.
Jin Min's strong relationships with renowned industry players such as Bandai Namco, LemonSky Studio, Polygon Pictures, and StarHill Dining have enabled him to create a positive learning environment for his students. His exceptional skills and leadership were recognized when he was invited to a Caricature Arts presentation for HRH Tuanku Muhriz, Yang Di Pertuan Negeri Sembilan, during a charity event.
He has won numerous accolades over the years, including the Gold Award International Art Exhibition by China International Exhibition Agency, first prize in Malaysian Culture by Alpha Colour, and the Grand Winner of MSC Malaysia IPCC 2011. He was also included in the 'Successful People in Malaysia 2020 Encyclopedia' by Britishpedia.
His passion and talent for the arts have also led him to work on several projects for renowned Jackie Chan films such as the Police Story and Donnie Yen’s Ip Man 2, which earned him an invitation to Jackie Chan's 60th birthday party, charity birthday concert, and the 2016 opening of the Jackie Chan Museum. He also takes pride in his involvement in the publishing of Tom & Jerry’s game under Warner Brothers.
Outside of work, Jin Min enjoys exploring the city on his bike and spending time illustrating with watercolors. He is committed to bringing new and fresh ideas to his students, empowering them to unlock new possibilities and advance the growth of Malaysia's creative multimedia arts industry while improving society. His leadership and vision have made him a respected figure in the industry, and his commitment to excellence continues to inspire his colleagues and students alike.
Managing Director of Claz’room College
Tung Yan Ning is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Claz'room College, which was founded in 2009 as Claz'room Production. Having 13 years of experience in this field, Ning’s transformation as an educational leader began while working as a lecturer at a higher education institution prior to establishing Claz’room College. She is also a Master of Fine Arts graduate who was named Best Scholar in The Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Malaysia in fine arts.
Her hands-on experience and contributions to various projects landed her in prestigious collaborations with notable international studios such as Hasbro, USA and Japan for projects like Kaijudo, Dual Master; Dota 2 Malaysia, Garena League of Legends. Over the years, she has been recognised and awarded for her valuable and vital contributions to the industry, including the MDEC's IPC award, the Golden Phoenix Women Entrepreneur Award, and the SOBA Young Entrepreneur Award in 2020.
Besides, she has worked on artworks for renowned Jackie Chan films such as the Police Story and Donnie Yen’s Ip Man 2, earning her an invitation to Jackie Chan's 60th birthday party, charity birthday concert, and the 2016 opening of the Jackie Chan Museum. Ning was also invited as a speaker for The 21st Century Education, Ed2 Educational Talk alongside Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir. On top of that, she was named one of the ten most admirable educational leaders in Malaysia in 2019 by Knowledgereview, TKR and was also featured in Britishpedia’s Encyclopedia of the “Most Successful People in Malaysia 2020”.
Additionally, she was the founding member of the Inner Wheel Club of Intan, an International women's service voluntary organization that serves the needy and disadvantaged in the community, since 2012, before becoming the honorary president from 2017 to 2019. She was actively involved in many charitable activities in her role, including sponsoring and packing for Stop Hunger, conducting workshops at orphanages, Sunbeam Homes, and RACTAR Home, to name a few, as well as sponsoring and building houses in the Orang Asli villages in Seri Bayu, Tekala, and Semenyih.
Ning adores the beauty of nature and enjoys cycling, skiing, and diving. She is also passionate about human development, culture, and geography. From her experiences over the years, she has discovered a disconnect between education and industry, as well as the needs of the education platform and the potential of the industry for young artists, and this is what Claz'room College is working to bridge. Her main goal is to continue to provide students with skill sets and knowledge to ensure that they are well-equipped for the demands of this exciting industry, as well as to instill passion in them and help them turn that passion into a career.
