Originally established as the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) in 1993 and Asia Pacific University College of Technology & Innovation (UCTI) in 2004, APU’s sound approach to nurturing school leavers into qualified professionals has resulted in our graduates being highly sought after by employers.

APIIT was announced as one of the Top Private Colleges in Malaysia to attain 6-STAR (OUTSTANDING Rating) under the latest Ratings by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) on 18th Dec 2020. MYQUEST is a quality evaluation system assessed by MOHE to evaluate the quality of programmes offered by Malaysian private colleges.
According to the latest Annual Graduate Tracer Study by Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, 100% of APU graduates were employed by Graduation. APU is amongst 20 universities worldwide to achieve this honour.

APU’s iconic campus is strategically located at Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. TPM is the ideal location for this new and contemporary Campus due to its strong positioning as Malaysia's primary hub for leading-edge and high-tech developments in a wide variety of areas such as Computing & Technology, Engineering, Business & Management, Accounting & Finance, Actuarial Studies, Psychology, Design & Media. TPM is also located in one of the most rapidly developing areas in Kuala Lumpur, and is well served and accessible through major highways, LRT and other forms of public transportation.







Student (Local and International) Support Services
Student Services at APU aims to provide support, assistance, advice, consultation, and essential services to all APU students and to cater to the well-being of students beyond their academic needs. It is a one-stop centre where questions about APU courses, policies, procedures, services and events can be obtained. We provide on-campus and off-campus accommodation within guarded environments, while students are exposed to clubs, societies, and special interest groups on-campus.
To ensure that our students get the best out of their life at APU, we offer personal counselling services geared towards helping them with academic concerns as well as emotional matters. All counselling is done in a safe and confidential environment by qualified counsellors.
Student Development Activities for Employability
APU Career Centre connects our students with over 10,000 potential employers to provide internship and job opportunities. Annually, they organize Mega Career Fairs on campus as well as career talks to help students equip themselves with necessary employability skills. Professionalism is our philosophy, where students are exposed towards workplace ethics and professional code of conducts on-campus. The campus simulates a real-life working environment, allowing students to adapt to the professional working environment even before they graduate.

![]() Datuk Parmjit SinghCEO , Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) Datuk Parmjit Singh is the CEO of APIIT Education Group, which comprises the Asia Pacific Institute of Technology & Innovation (APIIT) and the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU). His pioneering spirit led him to conceptualize the establishment of the first technology-focused institute in Malaysia - APIIT, in 1993. Under his visionary leadership, the APIIT Education Group has evolved into Malaysia's leading education enterprise and a globally-recognized brand, with a portfolio of 100+ academic programmes and more than 13,000 students. APU's global footprint extends to over 130 countries attracting more than 6,000 international students. Datuk Parmjit Singh has been involved in the private higher education & technology sectors for the past 40 years. He has served and continues to serve the nation in various capacities as Chairman, Advisor, Board and Council Member on several key National Bodies and Government Agencies, which include -
His contributions to the IT Industry have been recognised as far back as 1990 when he was awarded the "1990 IT Personality of the Year". In 2010, Parmjit was conferred the Pingat Jasa Negara (National Service Award) which carries the title 'Datuk' by Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong. In 2022, Datuk Parmjit received double honours, emerging tops in the EY Master Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 category and being selected as the overall Malaysian EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2021. His entrepreneurial acumen set the scene for the development of home-grown innovations such as the first transfer programmes, twinning degree programmes; the first modular post-graduate degrees, 3+0 degrees and the establishment of offshore campuses. Consequently, industry and brand recognition have come through numerous awards such as the MITI Export Excellence Award; MDEC Premier Digital Tech University, QS Asia No.1 for Multi-cultural learning experience, 100% Employability track record (MOHE), multiple Enterprise 50 Awards and recognition as the first Malaysian private institution certified to ISO standards.
