"I chose OBS as the curriculum for my course is very thoroughàà."I decided to study in Malaysia as the quality of education is comparable to what one obtains in most other places. What's more, it is quite affordable. I chose Olympia Business School as the curriculum for my course is very thorough , with much emphasis placed on basics. Moreover, the first person I had contacts with at the college here was very gentlemanly and he did an equally thorough job while going through the course contents with me. Since I come from an English speaking country, I have no problem communicating with the lecturers or understanding the lectures conducted in English. Besides, I have a first degree from a University where the language of instruction is English. My English has always been very good. This is an advantage for me for studying in Malaysia. While studying at OBS, I shared the condominium unit with another student. The living condition in Malaysia is fair enough for a developing country. Things are generally quite cheap.

    Diploma in Business Studies

"I consider the campus in Penang Island the best place to study. There are many facilities, incredible beaches and summer all year round."I came here because Malaysia is an inexpensive country with world-wide recognised education. Here I've found a rich, multicultural society. It is easy to visit Langkawi and Penang Islands, Sabah , Sarawak in Malaysia and neighbouring Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore. I like OBS because it has a dedicated staff and stresses a constant improvement on quality. I've found OBS helps needy students. Mixing among foreign students has enriched my stay here. My credits can be easily transferred to any university or college. Here I have to know English well. My textbooks are in British and American English. I consider the campus in Penang Island the best place to study. There are many facilities, incredible beaches and summer all year round ! And recreations are guaranteed by numerous entertainment centres.

    Diploma in Information Technology

I am an international student from Mauritius pursuing a course in Diploma in Information Technology at Olympia College, Kuala Lumpur campus.  Kuala Lumpur is a student town and it is a thriving multi-cultural community.

The government of Mauritius has an ambition in promoting the country as a “cyber island” with the construction of “Ebene cyber city”.  The construction of a second cyber city is almost complete; and career prospects for students pursuing this course are excellent.

I first heard about the course when the college representative came for an education fair in Mauritius.

The Diploma course has a good connection with other colleges and universities abroad, which appealed to me very much.  It has also enabled me to analyse problems and solutions from different angles where I will be at a real advantage on the job market.   The ratio of students to lecturers is excellent.

The lecturers are well qualified and Olympia College offers a wide range of facilities to its students.  The computers are well-equipped with wireless internet connection. The library offers a wide variety of books and facilities.  A number of educational software is available on request and opening hours are well set that enable students to use the College’s facilities to its maximum.

Olympia College has a good percentage of international students. Our international communities are from Sri Lanka, China, Bangladesh, Russia, Nepal, Bosnia, Pakistan, Philippines, Mongolia and Korea.

The International Students Office provides facilities to help foreign students through all stages of being a student of Olympia College from their first enquiry until their graduation.  The college has an “international students club” where foreign students can organise activities with the help of the College.  This has encouraged me to pursue my education at Olympia College.

As a student of Olympia College, I highly encourage the other students to consider Olympia College for their education.

    HND in Business, 1st semester

The HND in Business is a 2-year programme leading to the final year degree programme in UK/USA. Initially I enrolled for a preparatory 6-month English course and Olympia has given me the support and confidence to achieve proficiency in the English language.  Olympia has a balanced mixture of students from different countries and this helps me to understand a lot about diverse culture along with various practices and traditions.  I realise that education is not just about knowledge on subjects but it is more related to application and relevance of knowledge to a different cultural diversity.

I am happy that I am here today because of proper advice and support from the team members of the International Students Department from time to time and the support of the Olympia’s staff and management. My decision to study here came through correct information that was passed to my parents from the International Students Marketing Department and I sincerely thank them for what they have done for my future career.

    MBA (UK), May 2008 – May 2010

Studying in Olympia College as an MBA student has been a very interesting experience for me. It has exposed me to a number of new and useful business concepts and points which are pertinent for today’s business survival.

The MBA Programme from UK had provided me with a unique blend of critical academic theory and practical business concepts allowing me to understand what it takes to succeed in today’s business world.

In addition, the MBA Programme is equipped to properly mould students to be better managers and leaders. At Olympia College, the staff are very supportive.

It has been a very unique and new experience living in Malaysia. There are a few things that are very similar between my country (Indonesia) and Malaysia. I have the opportunity to be exposed to new cultures and experiences.

The people in Malaysia are very warm and wonderful and I have no problem calling Malaysia my second home. Once I have completed my studies, I can more than guarantee that I will be visiting Malaysia time and time again.

    MBA programme, Nov 2009 – Nov 2011

I am pursuing the MBA programme at Olympia College at the KL campus. The classes are conducted by industry-based lecturers and I can say that they really uphold the UK university standards.

The MBA programme is a class of its own and it is a blend of theoretical and practical experience. The faculty in Olympia College has been simply great.

I have been here for six months and Malaysia is truly a beautiful place with all races living as one and the cultural aroma of all races, creed and religions, can just make one speechless.

One could learn much more than his subjects in Malaysia since it’s a central place in South East Asia, it becomes a hub for many students who can travel around this region and Malaysia itself is so vast.

We have so much choices of food and it’s relatively inexpensive compared to other places for students and the public transport system is good.

I have lived in many countries, but Malaysia is definitely a student’s choice and can be a very good experience.

    Computer Information Science

My ambition is to be a network specialist and my most valuable experience at Olympia was the practical exposure I got from computerising a company in KL. We were given a project to complete in 9 months and we had to identify a company which wasn't computerised and had to analyse, design, implement and maintain a system - and I got to computerize an 'ronautical company's operations and client database.

School of Mass Communication - Public Relations

The course I'm undergoing is helpful for my eventual entry into the PR industry. The practical training I have received during the programme instead of the end of the programme it has helped me to recap what I've learned theoretically. The facilities available in the college makes studying and doing my assignments and project work easier as I have the sufficient and relevant references from the library and the internet.

School of Business & Marketing - Majoring in Marketing

The lecturers are of great help - some of whom we could call from home to find out solutions for difficult problems. One feature of the programme I'm thankful for is the fact that I'm studying a wide range of business subjects and this made it easier for me to make-up my mind and so I chose Marketing for my major. I like the idea of being active and in Olympia you have so many clubs to chose from - so I am in the Executive Business Club and committee member in organising the orientation night for our KL and PJ centre.

Marketing from School of Business and Marketing

Some of my lecturers are from the industry. They have made me understand what is business and why is it important in today's society. A lot of people have the misconception that to learn sales is to become a seller of insurance or other such products which is indeed untrue and misleading. When I first came to Olympia, I had no idea whatsoever about PR, Marketing or Advertising but with the help of some good and dedicated lecturers, I underwent a foundation course which gave me an idea on the various subjects.
