    Classes are kept to a small number and the lecturers always ensure that every single student is attended to.

    I was attracted to Swinburne Sarawak because of its quality education . I believe I’ll have a degree more impressive than most, and this will open up a host of career opportunities for me. Mechanical Engineering is an interesting course and it has exposed me to a wide range of areas.

    The lecturers are always helpful with hands-on projects. Maths, robotics and mechatronics are my favourite subjects. The thing I enjoy most is the people, both students and lecturers. I have gained a lot from being surrounded by them.

    Studying in Malaysia gives me the opportunity to explore the country and its culture and I am making the most of out it. At the beginning, I worried about cultural differences. Luckily, everyone here is pretty easy-going and I have managed to fit in quite well.
    I had an opportunity to perform the Malaysian National Anthem as a member of the choir at the grand opening of Swinburne Sarawak’s expanded campus. It was a great experience.

    The location of the university is great and everything is easily accessible. A new shopping mall nearby makes it much more convenient for students. The variety of food, places to hang out with friends makes student life really enjoyable.
    Another good thing about Swinburne Sarawak is the many extra-curricular activities available. I am a member of the Anime and Manga Club, Japanese language club and also the basketball club.

    The multi-cultural environment at Swinburne Sarawak makes it a good place for student and to meet people from various countries.

    The on-campus accommodation is great and it is very convenient especially for first-year students. Thanks to the friendship of the hostel wardens and fellow students, I feel very much at home here in Kuching.

    Being an international student here in Sarawak is like immersing yourself in a whole new culture. Although the lecturers and students come from different parts of the world, there’s still a close bond between us. Lecturers are ever-ready to go out of their way to lend a helping hand. I can get advice from them anytime. They treat their students like mature adults and as their friends.

    If I had another chance to choose a university to study at, it would still and always be Swinburne Sarawak!

    The relationship between students and lecturers here is friendly and casual. The lecturers are a great help. The university is well-equipped and as a result, students are able to learn a lot more. Classes are equipped with computers and projectors. We can communicate with lecturers online through the Blackboard (online learning system). I can download notes for my lectures as well as share information with other students through this facility.

The classes are small with an average of 25 students and the lectures are really good, keeping steady pace, making it really easy to stay up to date.
