MQA�s D-SETARA 2012 � Rates the Disciplines Offered by Higher Education Institutions

Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) has developed and implemented a new rating system known as The Discipline-Based Rating System (D-SETARA) to assess (by areas of discipline) the quality of teaching and learning in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Malaysia. It aims to ensure continuous improvement to the quality and competitiveness of higher learning institutions.

RATING RESULTS for : Malaysian Higher Education Institution Rating System 2011 (SETARA'11) & Malaysia Research Assessment Instrument 2011 (MyRA®)

On 1 November 2012, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Khaled Nordin announced the results of SETARA '11, a rating exercise carried out on higher education institutions (HEIs) in Malaysia by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA); and the Malaysia Research Assessment Instrument (MyRA®) 2011 carried out by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).

Success in College

A college education is a requirement in these day and age. A secondary school qualification such as the SPM doesn't seem enough to get a good job to secure a bright future. Employers not only look for employees with Diplomas or Degrees as evidence of learning but also for the maturity and skills that people acquire from their years in college. Employers look for people who can think out of the box and not those that only do things by the book.
