The EMS English School is a branch of the well-established EMS Language Center, located in the modern, integrated development of Sunway Nexis in Kota Damansara, Kuala Lumpur. Program Outline

Intensive General English (IGE)

The EMS Intensive General English (IGE) course is your important first step to learning English. This comprehensive and popular course will benefit you if have had very little or irregular formal English learning and want to gain more language skills. The IGE course is designed to give you lots of practice in speaking, reading, listening and writing.

You will benefit from this program if:

• Your placement test places you within the beginner to elementary level.
• You wish to achieve the most in English language learning in a short period.
• You want a longer stay in Malaysia while learning this language.
• You want a learning environment that helps you to study English fast, supported by comprehensive facilities to enhance your learning experience.

So here’s what you can expect from your learning journey on the IGE course:

• Small number of students per class, not exceeding 10.
• Full lessons covering a range of communication skills, providing plenty of opportunities to help you improve you’re speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Well-planned and structured, yet highly interactive and enjoyable lessons within a relaxed, flexible and supportive learning environment
• Maximum contact hours with qualified and experienced international and local instructors.

Semi – Intensive General English (SIGE)

At EMS school, we understand your needs and priorities as a home-maker, a fresh graduate or simply a busy person and have just the program to suit you. The Semi-IGE is a busy bee’s dream ticket to studying English in a flexible yet well-structured and intensive way. You may opt to attend classes either at the weekends or on alternative weekday mornings. Whatever your choice, you can be sure that you will be following a truly comprehensive program which has been designed to make learning English simple, fun and productive!

The Semi-IGE is your important first step to learning English. This highly interactive and popular course will benefit you if have had very little or irregular formal English learning and want to gain more language skills. It is designed to give you lots of practice in speaking, reading, listening and writing.

You will benefit from this program if:

• Your placement test places you within the beginner to elementary level.
• You wish to achieve the most in English language learning on part-time basis.
• You want a learning environment that helps you to study English in an enjoyable way, supported by comprehensive facilities to enhance your learning experience.

So here’s what you can expect from your learning journey on the IGE course:

• 48 classroom hours in 4 weeks, packed with interactive activities.
• Small number of students per class, not exceeding 10.
• Full lessons covering a range of communication skills, providing plenty of opportunities to help you improve your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Well-planned and structured, yet highly interactive and enjoyable lessons within a relaxed, flexible and supportive learning environment
• Maximum contact hours with qualified and experienced international and local instructors.

Summer Camp

Every summer, the EMS English Summer Camp warmly welcomes students from different parts of the world such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Japan, Korea, Iran, China, Saudi Arabia etc. Our program is offered in June, July and August and it is packed with academic and leisure activities, which give students a holistic learning experience. The rich mix of international students and teachers, create a high quality English language-learning environment that responds to the educational needs and future aspirations of students.

With a range of interactive and stimulating activities, students get to improve their English communication skills in a number of ways over an intensive but enjoyable period. Naturally this helps to boost their confidence and open up pathways for opportunities in higher education and their future career.

Program Description:

1. Classroom
   • Four weeks of fun-filled program
   • A total of 100 hours of instruction and Practical English Learning in 20 days
   • Daily lessons covering four major language skills (Speaking, Reading, Writing, Listening) plus extra Speaking and pronunciation Classes 
   • Small-sized classes of not more 10 students per class, providing quality group and individual learning environment
2. Practical English Learning (PEL)
   • Reading Club, Writing Club
   • Pronunciation Club
   • Speaking Workshops
   • Grammar Clinic
   • Revision class
3. Outdoor Activities & Trips
   • Field trips to improve language skills through kinesthetic learning.
   • Students will enjoy sightseeing and city tours on Saturdays and Sundays.
   • Lunch will be provided during trips.
   • 3D 2N trip to Langkawi Island
   • Airport pick?up and drop-off for all students
4. Practicalities for full-boards package
   • Accommodation for all Summer Camp students for the duration of their stay, one day prior to and after the intake.
   • A Malaysian Sim-Card will be given to each student to facilitate communication with families back home.
   • Breakfast and lunch will be provided every day.
   • A T-shirt with EMS English School Summer Camp logo will be given to every student.

School Break Camp

When school ends, EMS School Break Camp kicks into action to help children and teenagers stay active whilst having fun at learning English. So, if you’re looking for ways to engage your children in exciting educational and leisure experiences, we have just the program they need! Our School Break Camp has been carefully crafted to stir young learners’ interest in learning English in a creative, engaging and adventurous way that will give them a memorable school holiday.

This is a comprehensive two-week program, which provides: 4 hours of classroom learning and Practical English Learning (PEL)

• Classroom – Reading Writing, Speaking and Grammar for 6 to 8 year olds
• Practical English Learning (PEL) – for 9 to 12 and 13 to 15 year olds
• The English Book Club: Learning how to express your opinion to a group of people helps build your communication and critical thinking skills and develop confidence in teamwork.
• The English Drama Club: Performance art is a fun and creative way to learn English! One way to improve your speaking skills is through drama.
• The English Game Club: Discover the fun and usefulness of the English language through games.

Academic Resources and Facilities

With our experienced teaching staff, we offer a well maintained and organized program to our students. Our academic staff are all qualified and equipped to improve your English Language skills to the better whatever your level or age is. The academic staff include Native and internationals as well who are all certified to provide improving English Language classes that will be enjoyable and fun.

Our programs follow the oxford syllabus which proves to be effective with all our previous students, the program is prepared by our best teachers to make it more approachable to the students and improve their English Language without the stress of traditional learning techniques.

After speaking to a few of our students who joined different courses in our Centre we can proudly say that our students are gaining the best experience during their study in EMS English School. Based on the variety of teachers and students from different nationalities we provide them with an experience to learn and know more about other cultures. Our teachers being exposed to various nationalities have gained the experience to provide the student with the information in the most effective way possible.

Our Academic staff other than being qualified, certified and experienced they will provide the students with all the care that they need along with our other staff to make the students feel as comfortable as possible. Students in our Centre do not feel like it is a school, they feel more like it is a fun experience that teaches them English Language in a non-traditional way making it more enjoyable and easier to gain more information, to improve and progress.
