Also known as International Advertising, Communication and Technology College, IACT College was founded by the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA) and 4As Malaysia, the two largest marketing and advertising associations, in 1970. It was founded by the industry, for the industry—and that founding foundation is now seen in IACT College producing unfailingly elite advertising, marketing and communication practitioners in the industry since its establishment till today.

The only Certificate in Communication Studies programme in Malaysia, this 1.5-year programme prepares students for all the diploma programmes in the area of media, advertising, broadcasting, marketing, journalism, public relations as well as event management.
The Foundation in Media Studies is a 13-month programme that exposes students to the fundamental scope of creative communication, media and design. It gives students the flexibility to enrol in any of the UK degree programmes offered at IACT College.
The 2.5-year programme offers a broad spectrum of subjects that create paths toward career directions salient in Mass Communication. The emphasis throughout this programme is hands-on experiences in video production, publication, event management and various areas of media studies.
This 2.5-year programme grooms you in detail about the art and science that goes into broadcasting, both in front and behind the camera. Classes for broadcasting are hands-on and ensure students have quality experience working with the equipment.
This 2.5-year diploma presents a dynamic and holistic syllabus designed to meet the ever-changing demands of the marketing and advertising industry. Its project-based learning approach makes it the most established advertising diploma in the country!
This 2.5-year programme aims to train students who can master design software and produce top-notch artwork recognised by the creative industry. The programme also builds up their soft skills in creative and critical thinking as well as communication skills. This enables them to take leadership roles within leading industry agencies.
This programme explores the integrated media context in which communication is conducted within today’s industry. Students will specialise in one of three areas - Public Relations, Broadcast and Digital Media, or Film - providing them with a competitive edge for employment.
IACT is the only institution that offers a degree that combines the discipline of advertising and design: a course designed to meet employers’ demand for creative talents. This programme explores the integration of strategising, conceptualising ideas, and creative design.
IACT College practises project-based learning methods. This method allows students to have the unique opportunity of working on projects with top-tier companies in the classroom. This gives students the exposure in networking and learning with industry experts from renowned companies. With these coveted opportunities, students engage with future employers as the education experience goes beyond theory and is put into practice. As a result, 96% of our graduates are employed in the industry within six months of graduation. On top of that, about 83% of lecturers have worked professionally in the industry, with an average industry tenure of 12 years. From 2012 to 2016, IACT College students have had a track record of earning more than 60 top industry and academic awards including being the Champion of Shell Fuel Save Challenge 2014; Finalists in Kancil Award (Student Category) 2014; Champion, First Runner Up and Second Runner Up in United Nations Creative Expressions Competition 2015; Champion, First and Second Runner up in English for More Opportunities 2015 by The Star; Champion, First and Second Runner Up for Faber Castell in 2016. This has enabled our students to be highly sought after by employers not only locally but also internationally.
Regardless of financial background, IACT College hopes to assist deserving students in getting the best education in the creative communication field by nurturing their talent and passion. IACT College offers a broad range of scholarships. It also assists local students in applying for PTPTN loans and EPF Education Withdrawal. IACT College Scholarships are offered to eligible SPM, O-Level and pre-U students even before the release of their results. By providing forecasted results, students are eligible to apply for the scholarships. On top of that, IACT College also offers the nation’s first ever Creative Talent Award, a scholarship based on creative talent and portfolios.
