SJIS

Recognition and Accreditation

SJIS is a hallmark for excellent scholastic tradition and that has been proven in our upcoming A Levels Oct/Nov 2019 results. The table on the right depicts the percentage of passes obtained from each subject which was quite astounding. Economics had a whooping clean sweep of 100% passes! From the lot 3 of our straight A students were Isaac Lee Kian Min, Stephanie Cheah Ee Lin and Tong Hui Qi. To list a few, seven students participated in the Asia Pacific Cup (RG Competition) in Hong Kong, focusing on ribbon, ball and hoop.

Next, four students joined Asia International Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) and won silver and bronze medals. This Olympiad is a platform for students to enhance their critical thinking skills and exchange knowledge, apart from promoting educational and cultural development. Following that, 17-year old Chong Xian Hao, a triathlete, represented Malaysia in the Youth Olympic Games held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Meanwhile, in the Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO), 9 students participated and managed to walk away with gold, silver and bronze medals. SJIS’s very own Cheerleaders – The ROYALS, emerged as Champions when they represented Malaysia throughout Asia in secondary intermediate co-ed category. The ROYALS went against fellow cheerleaders from China, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia – and beat them all to grab the Championship title. Last but not the least, going back to academic achievement, SJIS recently achieved outstanding results for IGCSE Malay Language paper, with 100% passes and 80% of the students securing A*s and As.
