About Us

ERICAN College is a member of the ERICAN Education Group, an award-winning education provider. The College was founded in 1990 by Datuk Eric Chong, President of the Branding Association of Malaysia. After a nationwide search for the perfect foundation, the Group acquired Pratique Asia College in 2012 in its next step in delivering quality tertiary education.

As one of Asia’s top academic institutions, ERICAN College has graduated thousands of highly competitive and desirable graduates with its unique approach to education and professional development. Having started off as a boutique college focusing on interior design, it now offers a comprehensive selection of diploma and degree programmes which are all geared to groom students for top-level positions. All courses are fully accredited, including accreditation by professional bodies where applicable, such as IATA, ASIC, AIEST, and ACCA.

ERICAN College started with a humble enrolment of 99 students. Today, it nurtures eager students from more than 40 countries around the world.

Academic Strengths

When we acquired Pratique Asia College, we also adopted their expertise in interior design as they have been well-known for interior design for 20 years. They have produced students who have won many awards in the interior design industry. According to a professor from Teesside University: “Our students have been recognised as top interior designers. They are also known as Teesside University’s top performers. Our lecturers hold PhD and master’s qualifications; most of them are from the industry itself.

Programme Outline

• Faculty of Management – Accounting and business administration, Certificate in business, Diploma in IT
• Faculty of Hospitality – Diploma in hotel management, tourism management and culinary arts
• Faculty of Social Science – Diploma in psychology, mass communication, graphic and interior design

The Student Experience

Our students practise the values that we uphold in our organisation. They are exposed to the people in the industry as we have programmes like the SUCCESS PROGRAMME that allow them to meet and interact with industry leaders. Every two months, prominent industry leaders are invited through this programme. Students have had the opportunity to meet Mr Azran, CEO of Airasia X, YB SENATOR Chong Sin Woon, Deputy Minister of Education, and many others. In this programme, industry leaders identify outstanding students from Erican to experience their internship at their company.
