Heriot-Watt rises again in Guardian league table

Heriot-Watt has risen again in the latest Guardian league table, and is now ranked 18th out of 119 institutions in the UK, up from 20th last year. This places it second in Scotland to St Andrews.

Heriot-Watt is also ranked high in a range of individual subjects, including in the top five in the UK for Chemistry (2nd), Civil Engineering (3rd), Building and Town and Country Planning (4th), and Chemical Engineering (5th).
This means the University is also ranked 1st in Scotland for each of these subjects and 2nd for Art & Design, Economics and Mechanical Engineering.
