UCSI appoints new chief operating officer of Terengganu Campus
September 23, 2013 | Campus NewsTERENGGANU: UCSI University (UCSI) has recently appointed Mohd Suhaimi Samsuddin as the new chief operating officer of its Terengganu campus.
He previously served at UCSI as a lecturer of the Faculty of Industrial Business in December 2010 and was recognised for his contributions in teaching and administrative duties.
With more than 11 years’ experience in the industry, Mohd Suhaimi is a firm advocate of ‘learning internationally, studying locally’ and is of the view that lecturing provides him with unique avenues to build rapport with students in Terengganu.
As such, he frequently relates industrial knowledge to lessons to strike a balance between theoretical knowledge and application.
Currently leading the Terengganu campus, he aims to transform the campus into a hub of excellence for its relevant disciplines, and to create a convivial and conducive learning environment for students.
Interestingly, Mohd Suhaimi is also a registered engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and is frequently sought for project consulting jobs.
Mohd Suhaimi is currently pursuing his PhD in Operations Management.
