KUALA LUMPUR, 7 August 2014 - Talent Corporation Malaysia (TalentCorp) today hosted their anticipated "Breakfast with CEO" with Dato' Sri Nazir Razak, Group Chief Executive of CIMB Group as part of its fourth installment of the Breakfast with CEO Series this year.

The Breakfast with CEO Series conceptualised by TalentCorp has become a popular and much sought after platform for students to network and interact closely with leading industry players from top companies in Malaysia.

More than 100 students attended the session, particularly final year students from both local and overseas universities to the various career opportunities in Malaysia. This allowed the students to understand what it takes to be part of a dynamic organisation like CIMB which continues to grow strongly and is transforming into a regional champion.

They were also able to learn more about Dato' Sri Nazir Razak's background and professional journey, by discussing and interacting with him on issues that will eventually help them to shape their career decisions.

"We are excited to host these bright young talents at the Breakfast with CEO session today as this provides an opportunity for a leading employer like ourselves to engage and interact closely with these students. This is a good platform to generate awareness among students on various career options and allowing organisations like us to better understand them," Dato' Sri Nazir said.

The series forms part of TalentCorp's Semester Break Programmes, designed to nurture students' interests in their course of studies and explore career opportunities in Malaysia.

"The Breakfast with CEO series enable us to create early engagement with our Malaysian students, both in local and overseas universities for them to consider developing a career in Malaysia as a great opportunity for growth. The employment market in Malaysia is rich and full of opportunities for those who want it and are willing to work for it," said Johan Mahmood Merican, Chief Executive Officer of TalentCorp.

By collaborating with top employers and industry stakeholders for the Breakfast with CEO series, TalentCorp aims to raise awareness among students on the exciting career opportunities in key sectors of the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) by providing key insights from leading employers in different industries.

The Breakfast with CEO sessions kicked off in June with three breakfasts with CEO namely with Rafiq Razali, Country General Manager Groupon Malaysia; Suresh Thiru, Chief Operating Officer Jobstreet.com; and Ahmad Izham Omar, Chief Executive Officer, Television Networks, Media Prima Bhd.
