Wira Wah, a Malaysian motivational comedy created by and starring Auguste Kwan, is certainly a great cinematic success. With the honour of being directed by Lee Lik-chi, the outstanding Hong Kong comedy director who has worked closely with Stephen Chow, the film managed to boast an impressive cast comprised of excellent Malaysian, Hong Kong and Singaporean movie stars, such as Cathryn Lee, Mimi Chu, Michael Tong Man Lung, Crystal Lee, Lai Meng, Alvin Wong and Looi Aye Keng, thus has been in the limelight ever since the production kicked off.

This is the first ever local film based on the theme of Chinese education. The One Academy, which has cooperated with various Hollywood blockbusters over the years, is also joining force with our local film Wira Wah for mutual benefit. Besides organising the Movie Poster Design Competition, a creative grant by the name of One Million Creative Wira Reward will also be launched, by allocating RM 1 million to provide stronger encouragement and support to secondary school students nationwide.

With an aim of seeking talented art enthusiasts, The One Academy joins hands with Wira Wah in creating One Million Creative Wira Reward, by setting aside a fund of RM 1 million. The grand will benefit over 100 selected secondary schools from the country, allowing art lovers to unleash their endless creativity and flaunt their talent.

Apart from allowing art enthusiasts to unleash their creativity, learn from each other, exchange their views and experience, enjoying the journey of realising their dreams, this collaboration also leads local cinema to conquer higher peaks especially in terms of art and design. As this local production featuring talented international director will hit the silver screen next year, we sincerely invite more art enthusiasts to be part of us, and achieve higher goals for the local filmmaking and creative industry.

The Prize Presentation of Wira Wah Movie Poster Design Competition and the Press Conference on One Million Creative Wira Reward was held at 10:00 am, 20th October, 2014 (Monday) at The One Academy Gallery. Artistes featured in the film, including Auguste Kwan who is also the author of the film, as well as Alvin Wong and Looi Aye Keng will be present to witness this meaningful moment together with you!
