On October 12th, 2014, Lim Clansmen Association held its 17th annual English storytelling competition at the Lim Clansmen Association Hall in Jln Air Keroh.

On this momentous day, representatives from over 27 different elementary schools throughout the Klang Valley gathered together to compete in a high level competition to see who could tell the best story in English. The contestants who participated in this year’s competition were truly ‘the best of the best’ – every one of them a skilled storyteller. 

As with the past 15 years, Erican Education Group was once again the main sponsor for the event, contributing more than RM6900 in scholarships to encourage and assist the participants in mastering their English language skills. Erican also provided the judging panel, which consisted of an international group of English experts: Douglas William Larke (Canada), John Miner (America), and Terry Ann Larke (Canada).

1st place - Yong Hee Hei (SJK(C) Sungai Way) Prizes: Cash Prize - RM150, Erican Cash Voucher - RM1,000, Trophy

2nd place - Emily Chan Sze Man (SJKC Kuen Cheng 1) Prizes: Cash Prize - RM100, Erican Cash Voucher - RM800, Trophy

3rd place - Ryan Tam Chee Man (SJK (C) Taman Connaught) Prizes: Cash Prize - RM75, Erican Cash Voucher - RM600, Trophy

Every participant, regardless of their placing, received a special school book bag, courtesy of the Lim Clansman, and an Erican Cash Voucher for RM100.
