Hazzirah is nation’s youngest PhD holder

Hazzirah, 24, from Kelantan, who received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics, has her name penned in the Malaysia Book of Records for her achievement.
Hazzirah said she would pursue her goal to be an academician and continue to do research for the university on the works of Arab mathematician Al-Jabbar.
Hazzirah is among 5,590 students in various disciplines who will graduate during the three-day convocation, which ends tomorrow.
Two undergraduates, Mohd Redzuan Ahmad Jakil and Quah Zhi Yong, emerged as this year’s Royal Education Achievement Award recipients.
Redzuan, 23, who graduated in Petroleum Engineering, and Quah, 24, who graduated in Chemical Engineering,
obtained a 3.88 CGPA in their final examinations.
