As the guests were seated and the awards recipients entered the auditorium, Dr. Sarvinder Kaur, Head of APU School of Foundation (SoF) officiated the ceremony with her words of wisdom. A video that showcased the trips and activities organised by SoF, followed by a special performance by the APU Music Club, displayed the talented and artistic sides of our students.

Students who excelled academically throughout the three-semester Foundation Programme were entitled to Academic Excellence Awards, whereas students who were actively engaged in extracurricular activities were awarded the Non-Academic Excellence Awards. Several other prestigious awards, such as the Outstanding Achievement Awards, Best Student Awards and Leadership Excellence Awards, were awarded to all-rounded top students who demonstrated outstanding excellence in both academic and non-academic fields throughout their Foundation Year.

“I feel honoured for receiving this meaningful award, many thanks to my friends and family who have supported me throughout my studies. To my juniors, Rome was not build in a day. If you want to be successful, the most effective way would be to work hard and do not give up!”, said Tan Bee Lan, the award recipient for Academic Excellence Award, Outstanding Achievement Award and Best Student Award
