New president for MMU
March 1, 2016 | National NewsPROF Dr Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq (pic) has been appointed the new Multimedia University (MMU) president effective Feb 15.
The announcement was made by the MMU Board of Directors chairman Tan Sri Dr Sulaiman Mahbob who described the appointment as highly significant.
“This is since the university is embarking on its MMU 3.0 journey towards becoming an i-University to uphold MMU’s position as the leader in ICT-related education, especially in championing innovation and entrepreneurship,” he said.
Prior to the appointment, Prof Ahmad Rafi was MMU vice- president (academic).
He has also been covering the role of the president since his predecessor Prof Datuk Dr Muhamad Rasat Muhamad passed away last October.
“Prof Ahmad Rafi has been with MMU since 1998.
