Kuala Lumpur, 6 April 2016: The Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) School of Computing and Technology (SCT) organised its third APU QR IT Seek at its campus in Technology Park Malaysia (TPM), Bukit Jalil recently.

The event was held as part of APU SCT’s initiative to promote the use of Quick Response Code (QR Code) in academics and entertainment. A total of 102 teams (2 students per team) from the APU SCT took part in the competition that took place in the form of treasure hunt.

In order to gain victory, participants were required to search and scan for QR codes that were placed around the campus in various locations, and then answer the questions contained within the code in the shortest time possible. “As students nowadays lack logical and critical thinking skills, we are trying our best to instill these knowledge areas within the game, so that students are able to pick up these skills in a fun and interesting way,” said Vinothini Kasinathan, project manager of the event.
