Application for MOE Matriculation 2018/2019

SPM 2017 candidates are invited to apply for the Ministry of Education’s (MOE) Matriculation Programme for the 2018/2019 session. The application period is from 1 July to 30 November 2017.
The MOE Matriculation Programme is a preparatory programme for bumiputera students with SPM certification to enable them to pursue a bachelor degree course in the fields of science, technology and literature at public universities. However, from the 2003/2004 session, the government has given the flexibility to allow 10% of non-bumiputera students to attend this programme.
This pre-university programme takes two semesters or a year for the One-Year Matriculation Programme (PST), with the exception of the Two-Year Matriculation Programme (PDT) which is conducted for a period of 4 semesters. The curriculum of this programme strives for a balanced emphasis on these aspects: academic, co-curricular and personality. Such an emphasis is aimed to develop students who are knowledgeable and competent, and who have admirable qualities, especially strong leadership abilities. All students of the programme will follow the same syllabus and method of assessment. The selection of students to pursue a bachelor degree at university is made only after passing the Matriculation Programme; the selection is carried out by the Student Admissions Management Division (UPU), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.
The Matriculation Programme is conducted at 15 matriculation colleges in Malaysia, and 2 selected MARA colleges.
