SEGi Receives The Most 6 Stars Ratings In MyQuest 2016/2017

KUALA LUMPUR, DEC 18 - SEGi Colleges have once again been recognized for its educational excellence for its outstanding achievement as the only education group with the most 6 Stars ratings in the 2016/2017 Malaysia Quality Evaluation System (MyQuest) ratings.

SEGi College Subang Jaya, SEGi College Penang and SEGi College Sarawak have gone beyond excellence with 6 Stars (outstanding) rating while SEGi College Kuala Lumpur received 5 Stars (excellent) rating. MyQuest is carried out every two years since 2011 for private colleges by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).

The 6 Stars rating is the highest accolade a private college could achieve in the biennial evaluation and is reflective of SEGi’s commitment in providing high-quality education.

There are three evaluation categories, which are college-based category that measures the quality of higher education services by colleges, cluster-based category that measures the quality of programmes delivered at colleges and international student-based category that measures the readiness of the colleges to recruit international students.

A total of 206 private colleges were evaluated by the MOHE and the results were announced today in a ceremony at Intercontinental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh was present at the event.

The 6 Stars rating is another accolade to SEGi’s trove as the institution has also won a string of prestigious awards. SEGi University is proud of its achievement as the first Malaysian University that earned 5 Stars for prioritizing society’s needs in Malaysia by QS Stars 2016.

SEGi also received 5 Stars in teaching, facilities, inclusiveness and social responsibility and it achieved a stunning 3 Stars overall in QS Stars 2016.
