'Tales of Halloween' at Curtin Malaysia to raise funds for Malaysian Red Crescent Miri ChapterOctober 24, 2018 | Campus News
Miri – 24 October 2018 – Fear-seekers in Miri can test their nerves at the ‘Tales of Halloween’ event organised by the student-run Malaysia Red Crescent Voluntary Aid Detachment 57 (VAD 57) of Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) on 27 October 2018.
The annual event, from 6 pm to 12 midnight at the university campus, is being held to raise funds for the Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Chapter. Students and staff of Curtin Malaysia and members of the public are most welcome to attend and support the fund-raising effort.
The event will feature two haunted houses with western and eastern themes, as well as similarly-themed ‘haunted maze runs’, ‘mini hunted games’, photo booths and live performances at the main stage.
Tickets are priced at RM30 a piece and will be sold at the door. Those interested can also pre-book special ‘Halloween Dining’ tickets priced at RM20 to enjoy a three-course Halloween-inspired dinner during the event. Every ticket purchase will come with 10 complimentary coupons for the event activities.
‘Tales of Halloween’ is being supported by the Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Chapter and Curtin Malaysia’s Office of Student Affairs.
Malaysian Red Crescent Miri District Chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam, who is also pro-chancellor of Curtin Malaysia, and Miri District First Vice-Chairman and Curtin Malaysia management board chair Datuk Lee Kim Shin are among the event’s invited guests.
Also expected to attend are MRC Miri District Honorary Secretary Tan Lay Yen and Chief Administrative Officer Lui Yee Lan, the senior management of the university, and Miri Mayor Adam Yii.
