TAR UC Offers New Foundation in Computing

Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (‘TAR UC’) will be offering the new Foundation in Computing programme which aims at providing a direct and specialised pathway for SPM school leavers to pursue TAR UC’s ICT Bachelor degree programmes. Open for September 2019 intake, the Foundation in Computing programme will be conducted by the Centre for Pre-University Studies (‘CPUS’) at TAR UC’s Kuala Lumpur Main Campus.

Skewed towards computer science / IT, the Foundation in Computing provides students with solid grounding in ICT so as to enable them to progress seamlessly onto TAR UC’s Bachelor degree programmes in computer science, software engineering, data science, interactive software technology, enterprise information systems, software systems development, internet technology, information security and management mathematics with computing.

Being a Premier Digital Tech University, the introduction of Foundation in Computing demonstrates TAR UC’s continued commitment to providing first-class theoretical and practical training in digital technology, and to cultivate digitally savvy professionals who will take on the growing technology trends such as Internet of Things (‘IoT’), Industrial Revolution 4.0, Artificial Intelligence (‘AI’) and Big Data, amongst others.

Apart from Foundation in Computing, the Foundation programmes in Arts, Science, Accounting, Engineering and Business are also open for intake in September 2019 at the Kuala Lumpur Main Campus. Additionally, selected Diploma and Bachelor degree programmes in applied sciences, computing, information technology, accountancy, finance, business, engineering, built environment, mass communication, creative industries, hospitality and tourism are open for intake in October 2019 in Kuala Lumpur Main Campus and branch campuses in Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah.

STPM and SPM school leavers who are still considering their options for tertiary education are encouraged to find out more about TAR UC‘s September and October 2019 intakes. They can visit TAR UC’s Info Day happening on 16 - 18 August 2019 from 10am - 4pm at Kuala Lumpur Main Campus and all the branch campuses in Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah to enquire more on the programmes offered during the September and October 2019 intakes. Apart from this, those interested can also visit TAR UC booths (Hall 1, Booth F12 & F15 – F16) at the Higher Education Fair held on 3 – 4 August 2019 at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre.
