PETALING JAYA: Despite facing many learning challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the national average grade (GPN) for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2020 has improved by 0.06 points.

Education Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin (pic) said the GPN for 2020 is 4.80 compared to 4.86 in 2019, adding that a lower number means a better score.

“The candidates did better (in these exams), ” he said when announcing the results for SPM 2020 on Thursday (June 10)

He added that the SPM 2020 was benchmarked and its quality was assured by two international bodies - Cambridge Assessment International Education and Pearson UK.
