MSU’s 29th Convocation Ceremony

Management and Science University (MSU) awarded a total of 2,434 graduates from 115 programmes of study at its 29th Convocation Ceremony here. It is the first convocation ceremony held since the country's transition to endemic, including the full opening of institutes of higher learning (IPT) under the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).

The scrolls for the five-session ceremony were awarded by MSU President Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid. Also, in attendance were MSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Puan Sri Datuk Dr Junainah Abd Hamid and the senior management of the University.

In overall, a total of 21 graduates will receive a Doctor of Philosophy, 38 graduates with a Master's degree, 1,211 graduates with a Bachelor's degree and 1,164 graduates with a Diploma.

Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP) contributed the most number of graduates, with 791 graduates and the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE) presented the most number of programmes, with 28 programmes.

Five special award categories of excellence were also given to 52 graduates in recognition of their overall achievements during their studies from among the graduating Class of 2022.

The Chancellor Gold Medal Award went to Nur Aqila Syafiqa Salehhuddin, Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Hons) which comes with a plaque, cash and a scholarship from Yayasan MSU.

Receiving the President Award were Aleaa Nur Insyirah Dr Haji Alias, Master of Education (Teaching English as Second Language), Lim Chong Wen, Bachelor in International Business (Hons) and Amirah Tahirah Azman, Diploma in Event Management which comes with a plaque, cash and a scholarship from Yayasan MSU.

Whereas Uzundemir Ayse Gul, Bachelor in International Business (Hons) and Dhaasuen Kaur Gopal Singh, Bachelor in Biomedical Science (Hons) were received the Mohd Shukri Yajid Outstanding Award which comes with a plaque, cash and a scholarship from Yayasan MSU.

Meanwhile, 26 graduates were received Academic Awards and 20 graduates were received Industry Awards. They were also received a plaque, cash, and a scholarship from Yayasan MSU.
