MSU’s 30th CONVOCATION CEREMONY

SHAH ALAM, 3 December 2022 – A total of 2,373 graduates from 117 programme of studies were received their respective scrolls at the 30th Management and Science University (MSU) Convocation Ceremony here. At the event, 19 graduates received Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Masters (35), Bachelors Degree (1,580) and Diplomas (739).

An Honorary Doctorate in Fashion was awarded to Japan's leading fashion icon, President of Ueda College of Fashion, Hitoshi Tajima. He is also a figure who made a significant contribution to the development of international fashion both in the context of education as well as industry.

The Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE) and the Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP) are the faculties with the largest number of programme of studies with 26 programmes where FBMP also contributes to the most number of graduates with 714 graduates

Present to grace the 30th MSU Convocation Ceremony was the MSU Chancellor Raja Muda of Kedah Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Ibni Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin. Also in attendance were MSU President, Professor Tan Sri Dato' Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid, MSU Vice Chancellor, Professor Puan Sri Datuk Dr Junainah Abd Hamid and the University's senior management.

Five special award categories of excellence were also given to 65 graduates in recognition of their overall achievements during their studies from among the graduating Class of 2022.

The Chancellor Gold Medal Award went to Muhammad Harris Azman, Bachelor in Finance (Hons); which comes with a plaque, cash and a scholarship from Yayasan MSU.

Receiving the President Award were Anugerah Presiden: Arivananthan Kanakasundar, Master in Science Food Service Technology, Nur Nadeeyah Ahmad Gorden, Bachelor in English Language and Literature Studies (Hons) and Muhammad Farihin Mohd Faizal, Diploma in Culinary Arts which comes with a plaque, cash and a scholarship from Yayasan MSU.

Mubarak Salem Mubarak Albukhairi, Bachelor in Computer Science (Hons) dan Dr. Muhammad Syakir Abd Halek, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) were received the Mohd Shukri Yajid Outstanding Award which comes with a plaque, cash and a scholarship from Yayasan MSU.

Meanwhile, 37 graduates received Academic Awards and 22 graduates received Industry Awards. They also received a plaque, cash, and a scholarship from Yayasan MSU.
