TAR UMT Student Shines Bright in Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards

Achieving first place in any competition is great, but when the achievement is being top in the world, it deserves to be respected and celebrated. Hovering from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), a student from the A-Levels was able to achieve this great feat during the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards.

On 11 May 2023, A-Levels student Justin Koh Zi Kang received the award for being the Top in the World in Accounting for the Cambridge International A-level exams held in November 2022 and also Top in Malaysia for the subjects of Business and Economics in the same examination.

The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards are a group of awards issued by  Cambridge Assessment International Education. They recognise exceptional learner achievement in Cambridge examinations around the world. The primary purpose of these awards is to celebrate and recognise the success of high-performing Cambridge learners. 

When he received the news of his achievement, Justin was not only happy but also grateful that his hard work bore fruits of success. “These awards did not only acknowledge my academic proficiency but also proved that I have the ability to excel in highly competitive academic examinations like the A-Levels," exclaimed Justin.

Justin's journey to greatness was not only made possible by his own strength but also by the unconditional support of his lecturers. Besides, Justin was also grateful that TAR UMT focuses on providing the best and sufficient groundwork with expert lecturers and top-notch facilities to ensure the best possible education for the students. “TAR UMT has been instrumental in my education by providing great facilities, experienced teachers, and a supportive learning environment. The institution's dedication to academic excellence, personal growth, and overall development has been crucial to my success,” said Justin.

Achieving this great award has opened up many opportunities for Justin. “My A-Levels journey at TAR UMT has not only opened doors to scholarship opportunities but has also led to the successful attainment of full scholarships at different universities. With these opportunities, I am confident in achieving my goals and making a positive impact in the field.”

Lastly, he gave words of encouragement to students who aspire to achieve great things like him. “Remember that success is not solely determined by grades but also by the growth, knowledge, and skills you acquire throughout your academic journey. Stay focused, work diligently, and believe in your ability to excel,” he advised.
