Exploring Educational Pathways with PRIME Programme at University of Cyberjaya

University of Cyberjaya (UoC) recently welcomed a special courtesy visit from MARA Sarawak on 20 May as part of the PRIME (Personal Enhancement Programme). By showcasing University of Cyberjaya’s vibrant academic ecosystem and emphasising its fruitful collaboration with MARA Sarawak, participants of this programme were presented with promising prospects for their future educational journeys.

The Personal Enhancement Programme (PRIME) provided a comprehensive experience for the participating students.  Twenty enthusiastic SPM leavers and twenty Form 5 students eager to explore their future educational options participated in this programme. They embarked on a guided tour of University of Cyberjaya campus, allowing them to envision themselves thriving in the university's stimulating academic environment. This was followed by an interactive session where they connected with current University of Cyberjaya students from Sarawak. This interaction provided valuable insights and student perspectives, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including YBhg. Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Abd Razak, Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Cyberjaya, and Mr. Mohd Suzairy Bin Shairy, Manager of Malaysia Student Recruitment and Corporate Marketing Unit. The MARA Sarawak delegation included YBhg. Puan Faridah Binti Drahman, Sarawak State, MARA Training & Career Officer, Encik Ruddy bin Abdul Rahman, Kuching District MARA Officer, and Puan Dayangku Siti Nurfazira Binti Awang Ahmad Safri, Sri Aman Regional MARA Officer.

University of Cyberjaya representatives presented informative sessions on potential career paths for graduates and scholarships. They further enriched the experience by presenting details on valuable financial assistance programmes available to students, such as the Young Talent Development Programme (YTP), Tertiary Education Sponsorship Programme (TESP), STPM/STAM Excellence Programme (STEP), and Kolej MARA Kulim. This comprehensive overview aimed to equip students with the knowledge and resources to chart their educational pathways confidently.

The visit from MARA Sarawak highlighted University of Cyberjaya's commitment to fostering a welcoming and enriching educational environment for students from diverse backgrounds, including those from Sarawak. University of Cyberjaya remains dedicated to collaborating with esteemed institutions like MARA to empower students to achieve their academic goals.
