Applications for public universities, polytechnics and community colleges (academic session 2017/18) to start on 6 February 2017

Are you planning to apply for a place at a public university, polytechnic or community college? We’ve got news for you! You can submit your application from 6 February 2017, Monday starting at 12.00pm through the UPUOnline system at http://upu.moe.gov.my. Applications close on 31 March 2017 at 11.59pm.
Applications will be open for 20 public universities (including Universiti Malaya and Universiti Sains Malaysia), 34 polytechnics, 94 community colleges, 21 ILKBS (Institut Latihan Kementerian Belia dan Sukan) and 5 NATC (National Agricultural Training Council) institutions across the country.
Before you apply, you will need to purchase a unique number ID from Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) for RM15.64 (including GST) before you apply (available from 6 Feb to 30 March 2017). This can be done at the BSN counters, through ATM machines and BSN online.
How to apply in 10 easy steps

Buy a unique number ID from BSN for RM15.64.

Determine your category: 'SPM setaraf' or 'STPM setaraf'.

Log on to http://upu.moe.gov.my

Read and understand the application rules and conditions set out in e-panduan.

Fill out the online application, making sure you complete all the information required (especially those marked with a * ).

Pick 12 choices of study.

Make sure you complete the application. Then click 'Sah & hantar' when you’re done.

Note that you can continue to change or update your application until the closing date.

However, it’s best not to wait till the last minute to send in or update your application.
