选择正确的大学预科课程: A 水平

如果已拥有SPM资格，并且打算攻读学士学位，那么你就可能需要获取大学先修班资格才能被大学录取。那么，你应该选择哪一项大学先修课程呢?
剑桥(Cambridge)A水平课程
马来西亚私立高等教育机构所提供的A水平乃是最受欢迎的大学预科课程之一。它属于一项高级水平的预科课程，与马来西亚的中六水平相同，并由剑桥国际考试(CIE)颁发资格。
A水平的课程大纲分为AS（Advanced Subsidiary）A2（Advanded Two）各占期末成绩的五十巴仙。A水平提供理科及文科两种学科，为期一年半至两年。学生通常会选择3至4项科目——不同的大专学府提供的科目合各不相同，所以你必须在报读学前多加了解。
如果你已经知道将来所要攻读的学士学位课程，那么你必须确保在A水平里选择正确的科目组合。就算你还没有任何决定，你仍然需要根据兴趣缩小范围，选择能带给你最大优势的学科组合。
优点:
- A水平一直以来都被视为大学预科资格中的“黄金标准”。
- 如果你尚未决定要在哪里及要报读哪项学士课程，在A水平课程里选择正确的科目组合将让你有范围广泛的课程选项，因为A水平资格备受全球的认可。
- 如果你正在争取奖学金，A水平是其中一项最受看重为学术成就的准则。
- 如果你打算申请一所顶尖大学，相较于其他的本土预科课程，A水平的学术实力将被高度地视为标准尺寸。
缺点:
- 由于A水平是一项严峻的课程，许多学生会选择在AS之后放弃一项科目。这也意味着你必须确保你在剩下的三项科目中皆能获得最低要求的分数。
- 与大多数的基础课程相比，A水平的修习期限较长。
