KTJ offers a generous and competitive scholarship scheme which is open to both Malaysian and international students.
Candidates can be new or existing students at KTJ, and scholarships are provided at the discretion of the Principal.
We offer a number of scholarships for entry into our Sixth Form in August or January. Applications are invited from both internal and external candidates. These scholarships recognise students with outstanding academic ability and/or potential. Awards typically range from 25% to 75% reduction on tuition fees.
The criteria for consideration are:
- Forecast/actual grades at IGCSE, SPM or equivalent of A or above in all subjects;
- Excellent reports/references from current school;
- 25-minute interview with two senior members of KTJ staff.
Scholars are expected to maintain high academic standards throughout their time at KTJ and to participate fully in the academic enrichment program. Applications cannot be considered from students who have already commenced their Sixth Form studies at KTJ.
Where possible, short-listed candidates will be invited to attend an interview in person at the School. This provides the candidate with the opportunity to see the School in action, to meet Sixth Form students and to take part in an interactive workshop. It is highly advised that candidates take up this opportunity if they can.
We accept scholarship applications between 2nd April and 1st November for the January enrolment, and between 2nd November and 1st April for the September enrolment. Outcomes are usually announced in early December and late May respectively.
