Most Taiwan Scholarship Program 2017

The MOST Taiwan Scholarship Program is offered by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for Malaysian students to pursue Master or Doctoral Degrees in Taiwan starting from August 2017. The application deadline is on 31st March, 2017.

 

The award period for each study program varies as follows:

  1. Master program: maximum 2 years, monthly stipends NT$30,000.

  2. Doctoral program: maximum 3years, monthly stipends NT$30,000. 

The MOST Taiwan Scholarship Program provides only monthly stipends to scholarship recipients. The costs of tuition, housing, books, medical insurance, airfare to Taiwan and other expenses will be defrayed by themselves. All candidates must apply for their chosen universities in Taiwan for degree programs at the same time.

Applicants must submit the following documents before the application deadline to :

Taipei Economic and Cultural office in Malaysia
(MOST Taiwan Scholarship)
Level 7, Menara Yayasan Tun Razak 200,
Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur.

Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

  1. A completed application form for the MOST Taiwan Scholarship Program,

  2. One photocopy of passport or other certificate of nationality,

  3. One photocopy of highest-level diploma and a complete grade transcript,

  4. Document to certify that they have applied to an educational institution in Taiwan,

  5. For those applying for degree programs taught in Chinese, a photocopy of a TOCFL Listening and Reading transcript or certificate for Level 2 or above,

  6. For those applying for degree programs taught in English, a photocopy of a TOEFL transcript, a certificate of English proficiency approved by the applicant’s government, or documents to certify that the applicant has graduated from a program taught in English,

  7. Two letters of recommendation from a principal, professor, or the head official of an organization, personally signed and sealed by the author of the recommendation.

  8. Other documents to prove outstanding performance. (Optional)
