The goal of education is the same as the goal of life - to help students grow into intellectually and emotionally matured individuals. We call this approach, Enrichment for Life (EFL), a philosophy that has been practised for more than a decade at Nilai University. Every child has his or her own qualities and the objective of EFL is to build on this strength to spur this young adult into an individual who is professionally competent as well as socially confident.

High Achiever’s Scholarship (HAS)

• Applicable for Foundation & Degree programmes only
• Full tuition fee waiver with the exception of selected elective courses. All other fees including resources, examination and miscellaneous fees, where applicable, are payable in full.
• Only applicable for the FIRST programme enrolled for – with the exception of the Foundation programme where the scholarship will carry over to the degree (based on maintenance of the CGPA requirement)
• Require maintenance of GPA and CGPA ? 3.50 every semester to be eligible for the next semester AND attendance of ? 75% every semester

Sports Focus Centre – Fencing Award

• Require maintenance of GPA and CGPA ? 2.75 every semester to be eligible for the next semester AND attendance of ? 75% (Malaysian student) and ? 80% (International student) every semester

Extra-Curricullum & Sports Excellence Award (ECSEA)

• National & State Representative/ Players only – with regular & consistent achievement over the period of last 2 consecutive years.
• Only for secondary/ high school leavers only. College students may be considered depending on decision of the Scholarship Committee.
• Applicable for Foundation & Degree programmes only
• Tuition fee waiver only with the exception of selected elective courses. All other fees including resources, examination and miscellaneous fees, where applicable, are payable in full.
• Only applicable for the FIRST programme enrolled for – with the exception of the Foundation programme where the scholarship will carry over to the degree (based on maintenance of the CGPA requirement)
• Require maintenance of GPA and CGPA ? 2.75 every semester to be eligible for the next semester AND attendance of ? 75% every semester.

Enrichment For Life (EFL) Award

• Applicable for clubs/ societies/ uniform bodies and the positions below only:-
  • Head Perfect.
  • Head Librarian.
  • President/ Vice-President of Clubs/ Associations/ Societies.
  • Represented School/ College to District Level in Sports/ Other Activities.
• Only positions held in the previous academic year(s) up to TWO years before - to be used for consideration for this award.
• Only applicable for the FIRST programme registered.
• Require maintenance of GPA and CGPA ? 2.75 every semester to be eligible for the next semester AND attendance of ? 75% every semester

Merit Scholarship

• Only applicable for the FIRST programme registered.
• Tuition fee waiver only with the exception of selected elective courses. All other fees including resources, examination and miscellaneous fees, where applicable, are payable in full.
• Require maintenance of GPA and CGPA ? 3.00 every semester to be eligible for the next semester AND attendance of ? 75% (Malaysian student) every semester.

Progression Scholarships

• Applicable to both MALAYSIAN & INTERNATIONAL students.
• Tuition fee waiver only with the exception of selected elective courses. All other fees including resources, examination and miscellaneous fees, where applicable, are payable in full.
• Maintenance of the scholarship is based on the maintenance of the GPA & CGPA use for the criteria of the scholarship and at least ? 75% (Malaysian students) and ? 80% (International students) attendance for the semester.
• Applicable for Nilai University students that are progressing from:-
  • Foundation to Degree programmes
  • Diploma to Advanced Diploma/ Degree programmes
  • Degree to Postgraduate

EDUCATION FOR ALL (EFA)

• Only applicable for MALAYSIAN students with the family income ? RM4,000 (B40 group).
• Conditions for the scheme:-
  • Diploma: 20% waiver AND Degree: 11% waiver of tuition fees for the programme
  • Tuition fee waiver only with the exception of selected elective courses. All other fees including resources, examination and miscellaneous fees, where applicable, are payable in full.
  • Accommodation waiver for twin-sharing Hall-Of-Residence only
  • Require maintenance of GPA and CGPA ? 2.75 every semester to be eligible for the next semester AND attendance of ? 75% every semester.

Discount/ Waiver Schemes

The following discount schemes below cannot be offered in conjunction with any other discount/ waiver/ scholarship schemes.

• Applicable to both Malaysian & International students
• Alumni = Student who has completed the Foundation, Diploma OR Degree programme at the university
  • E.g Foundation graduates will enjoy 15% discount enrolling into the degree programmes.
  • Eg. Diploma graduates will enjoy 15% discount enrolling into the degree programme.
  • Eg. Degree graduates will enjoy 15% discount enrolling into the postgraduate programmes.
• Require maintenance of GPA and CGPA ? 2.75 every semester to be eligible for the next semester AND attendance of ? 75% (Malaysian student) and ? 80% (International student) every semester.

Immediate Family = refers to spouse and children

Immediate Relative = refers to siblings as well as relations that are not spouse or chilren of the staff.

The following schemes CAN be offered in conjunction with Scholarship schemes awarded to the student introduced to the university.
