University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS) is offering internal & external scholarships to Malaysian students who wish to study at UCTS Sibu campus.
Internal Sponsorship
UCTS Foundation Sponsorship
- It is a three-tiers financial assistance to assist students entering Foundation Programme at UCTS
- The tiers are determine by the SPM result or its equivalent
- Tier 1 (4A & Above) Tuition fee & Hostel fee
- Tier 2 (2A, 2B, / C & Above) Tuition fee
- Tier 3 (5C & Above) Tuition fee 50%
- Pursue Degree level studies at UCTS after completion of Foundation Programme
UCTS Undergraduate Scholarship
Partial Board of Director's Sponsorship (PBODS)
- Financial assistance to assist students Undergraduate at UCTS
- Minimum CGPA 2.5 and above in Foundation/Diploma/Matriculation, 2B's in STPM or 1A in UEC
- CGPA 2.5 - < 3.0 (RM750)
- CGPA < 3.0 - < 3.5 (RM1250)
- CGPA < = 4.0 (RM1750)
- Are not receiving other scholarship
Nangka Sponsorship
- Both parents must be a voter for Nangka Constituency (N49)
- Maintain CGPA 2.0 and above every semester
Yayasan Toh Li Hua Sponsorship
- Potential student with good result
- Maintain CGPA 2.0 and above every semester
- Family income does not exceed RM3,000 per month
- Cover living allowance
External Sponsorship & Loan
Yayasan Sarawak Loan
- Must be Sarawakian either one of their parents are Sarawakian
- Application is open throughout the year
- For 'Top-up" for tuition fees, students are required to attach the PTPTN loan offer letter for Undergraduate student.

- Subject to term and conditions stipulated by Yayasan Sarawak
Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak
- One-off financial assistance and must be Muslim from Sarawak
- Apply through Baitulmal Sarawak website: tbs.org.my
Yayasan Sabah
- Sabah natives age between 18 to 35 years old
- Not blacklisted by Sabah Foundation (Parents/Guarantors/Siblings)
- Subject to term and conditions stipulated by Yayasan Sabah
- Apply through Yayasan Sabah website : yayasansabahgroup.org.my
Bakun Trust Fund
- Available to students Undergraduate originated from Belaga or Sungai Asap area
- One-off financial assistance
Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN)
- Must be a Malaysian citizen and does not exceed 45 years of age on the date of application
- The value of loan is dependent on the student's family income
- Maintain GPA 2.0 and above every semester
- PTPTN PIN (Personal Identification Number) need to be purchased at Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) amounting to RM5.05
- Must open a personal account with Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB). The account to be used by PTPTN to disburse of the loan
- Must open a Skim Simpanan Pendidikan Nasional (SSPN) account at the nearest PTPTN branch or participating bank.
- Must apply via PTPTN website: www.ptptn.gov.my
- Online application deadline: 30 January and 28 February / 30 August and 30 September
Biasiswa Yayasan Sarawak Tun Taib (STEM) & Yayasan Biasiswa Sarawak Tunku Abdul Rahman (Non-STEM)
- Foundation/Matriculation/Diploma/A-level/STPM
- Maintain GPA 3.0 and above every semester
- Strong leadership skill and active participation in extracurricular activities
- Are not receiving other scholarship/loan
- Application form obtain in Yayasan Sarawak website: www.yayasansarawak.org.my
Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) Scholarship
- Form can be obtaind at Sarawak Energy website: sarawakenergy.com.my
- Foundation Programme
- Not exceeding 21 years of age at the enrollment date for the foundation studies.
- Minimum 8A's in SPM examination.
- Not receiving other scholarship or financial aid
- Strong leadership qualities, excellent team-player, excel in both extra-curricular activities and sports
- No other family member is currently a Sarawak Energy Scholarship recipient
- Undergraduate Programme
- Must not be older than 24 years of age during the tine of application
- Currently first-year student in a recognized public/ or private higher learning institution and not recipient of any other scholarship
- Strong leadership qualities, excellent team-player, excel in both extra-curricular activities and sports
- No other family member is currently a Sarawak Energy Scholarship recipient
- Minimum 8A's in SPM examination;
- Minimum 3A's & 1B in STPM examination;
- Minimum CGPA at least 3.0 in Matriculation/Foundation/Diploma/Undergraduate
Sabah State Government Scholarship (BKNS)
- Malaysian citizen who hails from Sabah and the Federal Territory of Labuan
- Must not be more than 25 years old at the time of application
- CGPA 3.5 in Diploma/Matriculation/Foundation or CGPA 3.3 in STPM
- Must apply online via website biasiswa.sabah.gov.my
Yu Chee Hoe And Lee Kwan Charitable Trust (YCHLK Scholarship)
- Open to financially needy and academically inclined Malaysian students pursue a full time first Degree with aged 23 years and
- Full tuition fees and living expenses for successful applicants amounting up to RM20, 000 per academic year or up to RM80, 000 for a four year full degree programme
- Recipient must achieve and maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or equivalent every semester
- Family household income below RM60,000 per annum
- Currently not a recipient of any scholarship or financial aids from any other organization
- Applicant with outstanding extra-curricular record will have added advantange

Employee Provident Fund (EPF) withdrawal Scheme
- Applicants must be EPF members and/or children of EPF members
- Applicable for Undergraduate only
- Must receive Offer Letter from UCTS
- Up to total fees or entire balance in Account II, whichever is lower
- Member may apply for withdrawal in each academic year provided there are suffient fund in Account II
- On-going application.
