Our Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme was developed with the aim of producing caring, compassionate and knowledge-based doctors who would become assets to the patient and nation in general.
The five-year medical degree programme of the Faculty of Medicine, Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS), is divided into two phases; Medical Sciences Phase (Year 1 and Year 2) and Clinical Sciences Phase (Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5). At the end of Year 2, students must undergo and pass the First Professional Examination to qualify them to enter the clinical phase. Following that, at the end of Semester 9 (in Year 5), there is the Final Professional Examination (Part 1). Students must pass this examination to qualify them to enter Semester 10 (in Year 5) which is the final semester of the programme. The Final Professional Examination (Part 2) is held at the end of Semester 10 and students who pass this examination graduate from the medical programme with the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree.
The five-year programme culminating in the award of the Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery degree. Among the unique features of the programme are the application of Student-Centred Learning (SCL) approach, the teaching and training in Military Medicine (and associated subjects), disaster management and humanitarian relief training.
