Course Overview

The contemporary logistics world has moved from the agrarian society to managing learned people and technology in the business world. This has created a demand for business personnel to manage the logistics management aspect of business. The current economic developments in the world and in our country has brought in changes in the way we handle business and customers. With information communication technology as a tool for management function, the current set of business administration personnel need to have knowledge and applications in logistics management to handle business and customers sharing the functions with related department.

This programme aims to prepare the graduates with knowledge and competencies required in the logistic management. Students study the importance of managing all aspects of a business organization, specifically in the area of logistics management. In the growing digital era, the need for businesses to adopt e-logistics strategies is widely spread, and students with a logistics background will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills required by industries today. The overall goal of this programme is to find a balance between the different areas of logistics management with the various functions of a business organization. It is to promote logistic management as an essential aspect in business studies and management. Students will learn about the existing theories of business with the additional knowledge and concepts of logistics management to develop their cognitive domain in this area. To develop their psychomotor domain, they will also learn to apply their knowledge and skills by participating in various real-life projects and assignments using real case studies from the industry.
